Home

We are currently open and intend to remain open during the Covid-19 outbreak.  This only for current guests or anyone camping for essential work purposes or needing shelter.

We plan on reopening for recreational camping beginning May 28th in compliance with Michigan Executive Order 2020-77.   You must have restrooms in your RV.  Our showers and restrooms will remain closed until we determine those facilities can be used safely.

Our pool will open as soon as the Health Dept permits us, but likely with capacity restrictions.  We do not have a date for that yet.

Laundry facilities and our boat ramp are open.

Prior to May 28th, we are open for guests who qualify as needing shelter, are critical infrastructure workers living in their RVs or are full time RV residents returning to the area.

At this time we believe RV camping is a low risk activity.  Our sites are spacious and there is no need to use any common facilities.

There are multiple sources of groceries and pharmacies within three miles of our campground.

Call 616-457-4837 for check-in and we will direct you to your campsite.  Please maintain social distancing and keep any pets leashed.

Come join us at Steamboat Park Campground for summer fun and relaxation on the banks of the Grand River.

Steamboat Park is a new (2017), RV campground near downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Our park supports big rigs with large angled sites, paved roads and features 65 full hook-up campsites.  Many sites are directly on the river with gently sloping shoreline and a sandy bottom.  Watercraft are welcome at no extra charge.  Guests may use our boat ramp and store trailers in our auxiliary parking area.

As our guest, you have a short and easy drive to downtown Grand Rapids (only 7 miles away).  You can explore all that the city has to offer.

We also have entertainments right in the park.  Be sure to take a ride on our reproduction paddle-wheel riverboat, The Grand Lady.  We offer regular cruises with live music on board and you are welcome to pack a picnic lunch for the cruise.

In the park, you can go swimming in our heated pool, or adventure out on the Grand River and the developing Grand River Greenway project with many new parks and trails.  This summer, work begins on a new trail that will connect to downtown Grand Rapids through Millennium Park

Our family has enjoyed the natural beauty of the Grand River here for seven generations.  We hope you will as well.
