Come join us at Steamboat Park Campground for summer fun and relaxation on the banks of the Grand River.

Our park supports big rigs with large angled sites, paved roads and features 108 full hook-up campsites.  Many sites are directly on the river with gently sloping shoreline and a sandy bottom.  Watercraft are welcome at no extra charge.  Guests may use our boat ramp and store trailers in our auxiliary parking area.

As our guest, you have a short and easy drive to downtown Grand Rapids (only 7 miles away).  You can explore all the city has to offer.

We also have entertainments right in the park.  Be sure to take a ride on our reproduction paddle-wheel riverboat, The Grand Lady.  We offer regular cruises with live music on board and you are welcome to pack a picnic for the cruise.

In the park, you can swim in our heated pool, or venture out on the Grand River and the developing Grand River Greenway project with many new parks and trails.

2026 In-Season (May 1 – October 1, 2026)

All sites are full hook-up RV campsites with 20/30/50 amp electric, City water/sewer, and concrete patios. We offer both Back-In and Pull-Through sites. Riverfront sites are back-ins with shared beach or water access. All guests are welcome to walk, play, fish, and moor watercraft along the shoreline. Pricing is based on up to 2 adults plus up to 4 minor children site occupancy. Cancellations must be received two weeks prior to arrival date for full refund less 5% processing charge.
Base daily rates start at $56 with discounts applied for stays before Memorial Day and after Labor Day.
    • $56 Standard Back-In Site, per weekday night
    • $71 Pull-Through Site, per weekday night
    • $76 Riverside Back-In Site, per weekday night
    • +$14 per Weekend night
Base weekly rates start at $378 for a Standard Back-In Site, with discounts applied for stays before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. Reservations of 7 or more consecutive nights on one site, and booked in advance of arrival, will qualify for the weekly rate.
Monthly rates are only available off-season. However, if staying more than a month, each month is prepaid by the 15th for the upcoming month, based on the weekly rate. RVs must be clean and in good repair.

2026-2027 Off-Season (October 1, 2026 – May 1, 2027)

All sites are RV campsites and are full hook-up with 20/30/50 amp electric. The bathhouse/laundry is closed during the off-season. The bathhouse is closed and reopened based on the weather but generally it will close by November 1 and reopen by May 1. RV must be in very good condition, have working bathroom, shower, and heated water hose for off-season camping. Cancellations must be received two weeks prior to arrival date for full refund less 5% processing charge.
  • Base Daily Rate starts at: $55 (rate is based on up to 2 adults, 4 children) with eligible discounts automatically applied
  • Monthly Rate: Call for pricing and availability for stays 2+ months. See Off-Season Extended Stay details below.
    • To be eligible for the extended stay rate, a 2+ months reservation during the off-season (October through April) is required. The winter long-term rate is based on up to 2 adults, 4 children (call for pricing), and collected monthly on the 15th of each month for the upcoming month. You must have a credit card, in your name, on file. The electric is metered and collected on the first of each month for the previous month. The RV must be clean and in good repair with all systems functional. If you are unable to move or operate the RV yourself, you may not book an extended stay. The bathhouse/laundry is closed during the off-season. You must use a heated water hose when temps are freezing. For winterizing, we prefer factory-made RV skirting. Plain-faced foam boards are acceptable, no multicolored foam board or board with print on it. A $300 refundable electric deposit is required. Electric is billed at the Consumers Energy rates per the site meter. The electric deposit will be applied to your final month's electric bill with any remaining amount refunded. The required electric deposit amount is subject to change based on your average use. A $50 site deposit is required. Your site must be kept clean and undamaged throughout the stay. Pet waste must be picked up immediately and disposed of properly. Cancellations that shorten the extended stay reservation to less than 2 months, will result in the loss of the extended stay rate. All reservations must be paid in advance by the due date. Late payments or no payment will result in the loss of the extended stay rate. The extended stay rate requires that we are able to auto-collect on the due date using the credit card on file.
